Off Plantation Communities
The Allenwood neighborhood is located off of Gum Tree Road. It is within walking or biking distance to the Hilton Head lsland school cluster, the lsland Recreation Center, and north end shopping and markets. Allenwood offers seven single-family detached designs geared towards today's active lifestyle. Allenwood also offers four low-maintenance townhouse designs that include lawn care service. Daufuskie Island – Bloody Point
The southernmost point of Daufuskie, and of South Carolina, is Bloody Point, fronting the ocean. Bloody Point has some of the most beautiful beaches on the Island, with driftwood lining the shore. At low tide, you can walk for what seems like miles on the endless sandbars.
Deriving its name from a pitched battle between Indians and British settlers in the early 1700's Bloody Point is located on the east side of Daufuskie Island. One of Hilton Head's older beach communities, this mid-island neighborhood enjoys close proximity to folly Field beach as well as the Islander's Beach Park. The park allows car parking only for autos with an islander's beach parking permit and features a playground, picnic area and boardwalk to the beach. Folly field is also home to Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort.
Forest Beach area of Hilton Head is not a private gated community, but is a "region" of Hilton Head. The forest beach region is made up of traditional beach cottages mixed with large multi family rental homes. Forest Beach consists of the oceanfront and adjacent property between the Sea Pines and Shipyard Plantations along North and South Forest Beach Drive. Forest Beach contains over 3 miles of lush, white sandy beaches considered by some to be the "best stretch of beach on Hilton Head Island."
The forest beach is located as far south on the island as you can go.
